About Caleo

Built around the trips people take again and again

Most medical transport is treated as a one-off errand. Ours is built for the rider who goes to the same place three times a week, for years.

Why we started with dialysis

A person on dialysis usually goes to a clinic three times a week. Counting both directions, that is more than 300 rides a year, and half of them are the ride home, after a treatment that leaves them tired and unsteady. The ride is not a small part of that. It is a large part.

When the ride goes wrong, the treatment goes wrong. A rider who waits too long misses a slot. A rider who is handled roughly on a bad day does not want to go back. So we designed around the recurring trip first: familiar crews where we can, and notes that carry over from one week to the next.

The same thinking applies to infusion, wound care, radiation, and physical therapy. Anything a person does on a schedule.

What we care about

Caleo is Latin for “I am warm.” We picked it because the part of this work people remember is not the vehicle. It is whether someone was gentle with them on a hard day.

We want to be the carrier a scheduler stops worrying about. That means taking the trip, showing up when we said we would, and calling early if something changes instead of late.

We build our crews and vehicles around the trips we have committed to, so the rides we accept are rides we complete. If a trip needs equipment or timing we do not have yet, we will say so while there is still room to plan.

Want to talk about a rider?

Case managers, social workers, and family members are all welcome to call. We are happy to explain what we do before anything is arranged.
