Los Angeles County, California

Rides to medical care, for people who need a little more help.

Caleo Medical Transportation takes riders to and from dialysis, treatment, and doctor visits across Los Angeles County. We move people who use a wheelchair, who need to stay lying down, or who can walk but should not go alone.

This is not an ambulance service. We do not answer emergencies. We do the trips that happen again and again, and we try to make them calm.

Three ways we can take you

Which one you need depends on how you can travel, not on where you are going. If you are not sure, call us and we will talk it through.

  • Wheelchair transport

For riders who use a wheelchair and do not need to lie down during the trip.

  • Gurney transport

For riders who need to stay lying down from pickup to drop-off.

  • Ambulatory transport

For riders who can walk, with or without a cane, walker, or a helping arm.

What a ride with us looks like

Most of our riders travel the same route several times a week. We plan for that. The goal is a trip that feels the same every time, with people you have met before.

  • We come to the door

The crew meets you where you are — a house, an apartment, a care home, a hospital room. You do not have to get yourself outside.

  • You stay in your own chair when you can

Our wheelchair vans use a ramp or lift. If you use a gurney, two crew members handle the move so you are not doing the work.

  • Familiar faces where we can

For standing appointments we work toward sending a crew the rider already knows. It matters more than people expect, especially for dialysis.

  • We plan the trip back too

Some visits are short and some run long. Tell us on the phone what to expect and we will plan the return trip with you, not around you.

Where we go

We serve Los Angeles County, California — from the Antelope Valley down to the harbor, and from the beach cities east to Pomona and Claremont.

Trips that cross the county line come up often — a specialist in Orange County, a transfer out to the Inland Empire. Call and ask and we will look at it with you.
